This is designed to allow you to massage other people without putting pressure on your thumbs or fingers. It's designed so that you grip around the hollow handle and use the protrusion in place of your thumb. You can also apply sideways pressure using the extremities of the handle.

Its main drawbacks for massaging someone else are (1) that you can't feel the knots that you're working on and (2) that it's not easy to judge how much pressure you're exerting. So its use is a bit limited and awkward.

You can use it on yourself, but only for the limited range of muscles that you can reach. So thighs and calves, chest and the front of your arms, and a limited range of muscles in the shoulders and neck.

I didn't like this product. This is because I cannot seem to figure out how to hold it. Im no stranger to self massage devices but I find holding this product very uncomfortable, and cannot grip it in a way that allows me to apply force. It just keeps moving in my hand. I think the product could be designed slightly better. I can't fault the build quality however, as it's essentially a solid piece of plastic. I would purchase an alternative product.

As described. Plastic not a smooth as you would expect for using on peoples skin. There are some rough edges. Difficult to use in some positions. I feel there are better tools out there that can do a better job and aren't as taxing on your fingers.

Partner suffers from shoulder pains after sitting at a keyboard for any period of time so I usually get roped into kneeding her shoulder, I don't mind but it's a killer on the thumbs. This simple tool solves the problem, easy to hold and sits comfortably in the hand, allows you to apply good pressure without the thumb pain, partner says it not quite as good as the real thing but close enough

I use it to dig in hard where my heel pad pains. It has helped a lot, although it hasen't completely cured me of it.

Good idea but the handle is not very comfortable to hold and is too small for me. I have covered it with some padding to make it more comfortable. It is good for self massage to get at base of head, neck and the sternoclavicular joint.

Sturdy piece of plastic. Very good for massaging own shoulders/neck area. Very happy with purchase! Comfy to hold also.

Really gets into the knots to iron them out and saves your fingers and thumb. Also impressed with the delivery service. No quibble delivery service by the supplier to send a replacement out when the one I received was broken in the post. Thanks.

Instead of using my thumbs I use this knobble to treat my triggerpoints. I can use deeper strokes without wearing down my thumbs. Though I notice that the area the knobble treats is smaller and I have to move the knobble sideways to treat the complete triggerpoint.
Al in all a handy help.

Durable. Works well. Not really much else to say!
Looks like in the pictures. Decent, comfortable size in your hand.
